9 month stats

I look P to the doctor on Friday for her 9 month appointment! I can't believe it has been 9 months and the next time we go it will be for her year appointment!! Sometimes I wish I could just stop time and savor it a little more. Everything was well and my little active monkey is doing great and ahead of the schedule as far as language and movement go...who would have thought! :)

stats:
height - 28 3/4 inch (92%)
weight - 17 lbs (41%)
head - 17 1//4 in (53%)

She is still on the track to be tall and thin. Her weight percentile has gone up but she is still on the smaller side, which makes it hard to keep her from crawling out of her pants! haha

yes, he thinks she will be keeping the blue eyes! yay!! aren't they gorgeous!!
we are now crawling and pulling up on EVERYTHING!! she is getting more daring everyday and won't be long until she is running!

love this expression, she just makes us both laugh! she is exploring Molly more but loves to play with her, and Molly is so good around her!

I use to do this same thing with baby food lids. I think she is working hard on her top two teeth because she is chewing and pulling on everything.

my pretty girl

along with eating more food, she is becoming more challenging to feed because she wants her hands in it and it is getting a lot more messy. Which her father has a hard time handling! haha but this is what happens when you put vanilla pudding in your hair! at least she is happy! We just hose her off after she eats now :)
I am saving all of my Easter pics until after tomorrow, so I will post those soon. be sure to scroll down for lots more post. I will try to be a better updater this next month!

outdoor girl

My parents got a new camper last month with a couple of slideouts which gives us a LOT more room so last weekend we went off on another camping adventure to Lake Livingston. Last time we went Presley was only 2 months old. Now she is 9 so she should be a pro! ha! We did have a really good time and my girl proves once again that she loves, loves, loves, being outside...and of course with her Grammy and Pawpaw. We had a great time and P loved crawling around the camper and looking out the big windows, riding on the bike, swinging at the park, and going on lots of walks. It was so nice to get away!

Pawpaw pushing P in the big swing for the first time...do you think she likes it?

YEP! she loved it!! she would just giggle and kick her feet like crazy

the swing wasn't enough so Pawpaw attempted to climb up the big slide

Weeeeeee!

"Pawpaw this is how you do it"

"now let me read to you"

There were lots of ducks in the lake and Molly just couldn't resist chasing them, but they proved to be much faster!

taking a break and enjoying some ice cream

I have been informed that Grandma's purposes are to spoil and teach grand kids things they are not suppose to do in front of their parents! basically whatever they want! haha so my mom let P have all the candy she wanted...well sort of! She loved the shiny paper and tried to stuff as much in her mouth as possible. it was so cute!

Uh oh! Busted! "ok mom, let me explain...this is not what it looks like, Grammy did it!"
what a mess!

our happy family before we went home. We had such a nice spot and view of the lake, but Saturday night the wind picked up and was so strong on Sunday that we couldn't go outside so we had to pack up a little early.

old friends are the best friends

Ok I know, I have been a bad blogger again. so looks like your going to get a months worth of updates all at once! :) During spring break we had a play group reunion. Our friends Beau and Erica and their kids Elijah and Sadie came into town. For those that don't know Beau use to be our youth and family minister at our church and their were a bunch of us couples who would get together once a month for game nights or different outings, and now we all get together for our kids playdates. Wow what a couple of years can do. It was so nice to see almost everyone, catch up, and watch the kids have fun. We had 8 kids under 3 in one room, talk about noisy!

"here Presley, let me show you how it's done"
"ok, that's not so hard...now it's my turn"

Maddy and Giana

I love how Gianna's hand is resting on Grayson's back and it looks like they are listening to Presley

"good baby"

Sadie and Presley were trying to escape the madness! haha just kidding, but they did like looking out the window

my child's facial expressions crack me up!

our attempt at a group pic, cut us some slack...getting that many kids to look in one direction and cooperate is near impossible!
more about spring break week below
I will blog about Easter and P's 9 month check up soon! I promise!

Spring Break Fun

Spring Break was the most fun, refreshing, and quickest week ever! I had a blast just being with my girl and hanging out. We made the most of our week though. We started on Monday with Breakfast with the girls in Sugarland and then a visit to the Livestock show. Of course Presley had a good time watching everyone and shopping!

"hello Mr. Pig" every time she saw an animal she would "spit" at them...that is her new thing!
us in the WAY overcrowded petting zoo!

guess we wore her out. funny story...Paula and I were making the trek back to the car just talking and usually when we pass people they smile and say things like "oh she is so cute, or how pretty, or isn't she so precious" but as we were walking I start hearing people say, "oh poor thing!" and I am like what?? so we both look over and this is what we saw. just passed right out!! It was too funny!
Wednesday was St. Patrick's Day and of course I had to break out the McCutie shirt! and yes I know... the bow is HUGE! In fact this pic makes it look small! haha It was my first attempt at making a bow. Guess I didn't judge my sizing very well. It looked small enough to me when I was making it!

That evening Grammy came over to stay with P so Carl and I could go to the rodeo and see Gary Allen with our friends Amy and Ryan. We had a lot of fun!

We had a special reunion play date that I will blog about next time with lots of pics. and then just hung out the rest of the time. We even attempted going to the gym. We went everyday but I am still not sold on that kids club, it is a little sketchy! We finished our week/weekend with a little spring cleaning, cleaning out closets, that is...in my closet that can take days :) but of course I couldn't do it with out a little help!

loving the scarf

Where is Presley?

oh there she is! dressed for all seasons!

Auburg Family Fun Day

Well, the last time we officially had one of these days, Carl ended up in the hospital with a broken nose, and Jennifer still didn't know how to surf! haha that was a long time ago, but this day was beautiful and so fun, and no hospitals involved! Most of all because I got to spend it with my wonderful husband and sweet baby girl! We decided to take Presley to her first zoo trip. The key is going early! It wasn't too crowded yet and the cooler weather made the animals all be out roaming or lounging around. On a side note Carl and I had a very "parenty" moment when we got into the parking lot. As we pulled in we realized that the criteria for going to the zoo that day was a stroller and lots of baby gear! Everywhere we looked people were unloading strollers, strapping kids in, etc. We suddenly realized and it became very clear, that we too belonged in that club! I know, we have been parents now for 8 months and yes, we realize we're parents, but sometimes it just hits you! Anyway, we had a great day and took lots of pics The meerkats were running everywhere...P would just watch them go back and forth!
the Jaguar, I think, they were very active, except one had a hurt foot

I think these guys look so goofy!

the zoo keeper was out talking about the giraffes and was feeding them so they were walking back in forth. They are so huge, but we liked looking at them.

I was trying to show her something, but she has this confused look on her face!

just chillin

"ooooh big kitty, nice kitty!"

they just got finished feeding this one, and I think he wanted more...kinda like another cat I know! lol

one happy little family

Presley and mommy

taking a break in the park...she worked up quite an appetite

I just love these two pictures. she was in such a happy mood, despite how tired she was! we sat her down to see what she would do and snap a shot and they turned out so cute!

my sweet precious baby girl is getting so big!

Rodeo Girl

A while back my parents got Presley a stuffed pony rocker. It is so cute, when you push its ear it makes a galloping sound, neighs, and turns its head. My dad got it back out the other night and gave her another try. Presley loved it, it won't be long and she will be riding it all by herself! Her hat is a still a little big, but too cute! She is such a ham!

"yeee haw!"

Birthday Surprise!!

It's been awhile and I am catching up on my blogs. A couple of weeks ago, Mom, Presley, and I got on a plane (very early) and headed toward Lubbock. It was my Granner's 80th birthday and since we were all together for Christmas she didn't want to make a big deal of it so soon after. My mom had been planning to fly up and surprise her for quite awhile. Presley and I decided to tag a long. So we rented a car and drove another hour and a half to Snyder to surprise her at lunch! It was soooo much fun!! She had absolutely NO idea we were coming. My aunt and my Granner's best friend Barbara had be "lying" to her and when we walked in to the restaurant she almost fell out of her chair! We meant to get a picture of the actual surprise but got caught up in the moment and all the stuff, baby, flowers, etc that we didn't get one. We all had the best time and got to spend time just us girls. I enjoyed the long weekend and the unstressful atmosphere, and just spending time with some of my favorite people. I am sure it will be a birthday she will never forget!

my big girl on the plane...she did so good, especially during the layover. But, having help always helps! thanks Grammy!!
just passing the time

me, Granner, Aunt Teresa, Brandee, Mom, and P. We went down to the square and had some lunch and did some shopping. Gotta love that West Texas wind!!

not sure if you can tell but she is showing you her two new teeth :)

hanging out with her cousin Brandee

She is always pulling up now...she loves to stand up

4 generations. Great Granner, me, P, and Grammy!
We definitely need to make more spontaneous trips like that more often!
