Graduation Day!!

Today was Kindergarten Graduation! It turned out really good and the kids were all so excited! I had tons of family in my room and it was a very busy day! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by and how many things have happened since August! They grow up so fast! This year was a really good class and it was so cute to watch them get so involved and invested in my pregnancy. Speaking of...I am REALLY starting to feel the effects of the heat and pregnancy!! I have been so exhausted at the end of the day and my feet, legs, back, etc. ache at the end of the day so much it is a task just for me to walk down the hall!! I hate that part! But, I have been on my feet alot this week and it has been super busy! After tomorrow I can start to rest! We also have birthing class ALL day on Saturday, but I am looking forward to it. It should be fun!

My graduating class of 2009...this is what happens when 50 cameras are flashing in your face! Everyone looking everywhere
My class gift! I LOVE IT!! So special, it has each kid on it and it looks just like them! It is a huge and heavy platter
This week we also celebrated and talked about Memorial Day and I asked Carl if he would come up and talk to the kids and he could bring some of his gear...for those of you who know Carl well, he jumped on the chance to drag all that out and share with them! It was so cute! Here are some pics

Flexing their muscles

trying on his gear...he had to leave the good stuff at home i.e. any sort of weapons or ammo!

teaching them to low crawl! They loved this, they wanted to try it too!! haha

2 busy weekends

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. With the end of school approaching and two very busy weekends, it has been a little crazy. So let me fill ya in...It started last week, by a VERY long road trip to Wichita Falls. Doctor said to make lots of stops, like I wouldn't need to stop every 30 min for bathroom breaks anyway!! so needless to say it took a lot longer than usual. Needless to say we got about to Arlington and I said that's it I'm calling my mom and flying back home and she can pick me up!! :) haha crazy hormones...I made it home not as bad as going up. We went to see our "little" Kaila graduate from high school. I say little because when we first met them in Hawaii, she was just a little girl and now she is a beautiful young women ready to take on the world! We had such a good time visiting and just relaxing in the beautiful weather! We even took an extra day to extend our trip a little. We really miss seeing them and being just down the street.

Linda did such a good job of decorating her table she is such a talented person! Me, Kaila, Karly (pink cast and all), and Mr. Carl ...man I'm short!

Proud mama and papa with their baby girl!

Needless to say Linda was exhausted after all the events! haha sorry Carl couldn't resist the photo op!

Every girl needs a pair of pearls!

This weekend started with a doctors appointment. I am now almost 33 weeks and measuring just perfect. In fact everything looks just perfect, she said. I asked about another ultrasound and she said only is there were concerns and everything just looks too good. :( so boo no more pics of Presley until we meet her I guess! Saturday we woke up and went against the weather odds and decided to head down to the beach, with Molly and Josh. It ended up being perfect. It was Molly's first time, which was quite amusing! She didn't know what to think of the waves, she would run away every time one came her way. Big baby!! At one point she had Josh holding her like a baby on his shoulder out in the water. Is she spoiled or what?? It's going to be sad when we actually have this baby!! :) We all had a great time. On Sunday we headed to Katy to see a friend from high school that we hadn't seen since we were married. It was really good to reunite! We took Molly again to play with the other dogs and she had a blast playing! We really wore her out this weekend. Today, we did some things around the house and hung out at the pool with my best buds Amy and Myra! It was a nice and relaxing end to the weekend. Only a few days left of school and then I can start really getting down to business in the nursery and getting everything ready for the big day! Happy Memorial Day, hope you all had a good one!!

She looks so pathetic, but cute!! she really did have a good time!

My personal cabana boy, I mean cabana daddy...sorry Mary!! lol

Carl and I enjoying our day!

Showers anyone?

Baby showers that is...bare with me, this is going to be long! My crazy whirlwind of a week began Sunday with a BIG shower from the church. It was great! It was at Joyce's house and there were so many people there. Including some friends I haven't seen in a while, thanks Shandar! and my Aunt Diane and Abby, my cousin. It was a wonderful shower! So many great things, I can't get over all the cute clothes and girly stuff! Her closest is soo full, she will definitely follow in her mama's footsteps, as far as fashion and clothes go! :) Then on Tuesday we had the shower at the school and finally on Friday, my class surprised me with a "mini" shower that wasn't very mini at all ( see post below for more). On top of all that, we had a mother's day breakfast at school a doctor's appointment this week. On that note, I had to leave work on Friday afternoon, because I guess I over did it! I have a hard time remembering that my brain thinks I can do one thing and my body tells me something else. So in between putting mother's day gifts together and baking 76 mini muffins (12 at a time, I really need another pan!) I was hurting and needed a rest! The doctor wasn't too concerned and said as long as the pain or contractions stopped when I rested then all was good, and that when I start feeling that way, I just need to sit down and drink water. The cure all for everything during pregnancy! Everything looked great she said, and I was measuring perfectly! and so far, no major back pain, so keep your fingers crossed! Here are some pics from both showers.

the cake Linda made

Shandar and Aimee were so great to help me!

Just a few of the ladies...it was a full house!

I absolutely love the princess piggy bank! I have been wanting one so bad! Of course Mary would think of that!! :)

Tutu, check...pearls, check....1st tea set, check...a future of tea parties with Carl wearing a tiara and feather boa, priceless! She is definitely set up to be a girly girl! Thanks Kay and Glynis for this beautiful English China tea set! She is going to have so much fun having tea parties.

Mary, me, and Paula...I think I missed the memo about wearing my derby hat! I want want with a big flower!

Abby, Diane, and Miller came down from Tomball/Woodlands, it was so nice to have some of my family there.

My wonderful hostesses. It was such a lovely and special day. Thanks to everyone who helped and came to this wonderful occasion! We are so loved and blessed to such wonderful family and friends!

Tuesday was my school shower, given by my Kindergarten team! It was so nice and decorated so beautifully!! Here are a few pics

The beautifully decorated table, everyone got cupcakes and we took the cake home.

The beautiful cake, so pretty Carl and I both didn't want to cut into it, but when we did it was sooo yummy!

Kay, the school secretary, is very talented and crochets everyone a blanket when they have a baby. It is so pretty and soft!! I absolutely love it!!

Along with many great gifts my team gave me the exercauser!

My awesome team!! Thanks ladies for such a great time!

Appreciated...YES!!!

This past week was very busy at school, it was teacher appreciation week, Mother's day, and my school faculty shower (see above post for more). My class did such a wonderful job of making me feel appreciated and loved this week, that I just wanted to share it with all of you. I have an awesome room mom who went out of her way to help the kids put it all together. The first day they all brought in a flower and she took all these random flowers and put them together to make this beautiful arrangement!! I couldn't believe it, it was gorgeous! Just like my class, many different things come together to make something so complete and harmonious!

The second day I got a nice sweet treat of chocolate covered strawberries and on the 3rd day they all brought in a book to make this great basket to add to my growing library! YEAH!!

And if I didn't think all this and lunch on Thursday was enough...on Friday at my mother's day breakfast, they all came together and gave me a class shower!! I got so many wonderful things!!! Sorry no pictures, it was kind of crazy! I now know what it feels like to be at a kids birthday party! They all can't wait for you to open their gift, and then to make sure you have no problems, they even help you open it!! haha! It was sooo much fun, and the kids were really excited to see all her stuff! They truly went above and beyond!!! I, I mean WE, are so very blessed!!

bird dog in training and one confused cat

Carl is pretty proud of his dog training skills so far, she really is picking things up quickly! Carl tells her to go get her bird, and she usually brings back any toy, but this day, she got both her birds and laid them out. We thought it was so funny, her kill, stuffed already of course!

In other news, Toby is just trying to find a place to fit in, in this ever evolving household. He has now decided that not only is Presley's chair his, but her bed and toys too! I busted him in her crib the other day playing with the ribbons on this blanket! Oh!! we have to nip this in the bud qucik!
Just thought this was too funny! I think maybe he is a little confused?? haha
