Happy 29th Birthday Carl!!

Not only were we crazy busy with Christmas and all of its festivities each year Carl's Birthday and our Anniversary shortly follow. Yesterday was Carl's 29th B-day! I can't believe that I celebrated his 18th Birthday with him and now 11 yrs. later I am still celebrating! I am married to a wonderful man and great father!! Being so close to Christmas and New Years I always try to do a little something for him so he doesn't feel left out or forgotten. Yesterday Presley and I got him a balloon and his favorite choc. chip muffin from HEB and took it to him at work. Presley even made him a card (sorry no pic) and the whole family took him out to eat, his choice, Lubys?? not sure why :) Later at home I made him one of his favorite meals, spaghetti and meatballs and Josh came over and we opened presents and played the office DVD game. It was fun.

me and my sweetie...and yes, I broke out the party hats again ;)
Presley and Josh

Carl got two new DVDs and a pair of sunglasses that he had been wanting.

next year we will have to have a big blow out for his 30th!!
In other news Presley went for her 6 month appointment and everything is good but I will blog more about it later. I have done alot for one day. Also there are lots of new post below so please check them out.

Merry Christmas

This Christmas has been the busiest ever! I guess that is what happens when you have a baby :) But we had a wonderful time and spent lots of time with friends and family for Presely's first Christmas.

After a long drive home and a little sleep we headed off to our Christmas Eve festivities with Paula, Clayton, and Paula's family. They are so gracious to invite us over every year. We hadn't seen PK and Clayton in awhile and wanted to see them before they left for Egypt on Christmas Day to go see Taylor! I know they are having a great time! Here are a few pics of that.

Presley and Uncle Clay
Presley and one of her many gifts...she loves the hungry caterpillar.
Christmas morning Carl let me sleep in a little and got Presley fed and ready for opening presents! She really got into the gifts and toys, especially the wrapping! She would just reach and move up and down with her mouth open.

This is the best!! Too cute, waiting for mommy so we could open presents (see more about P and Molly in posts below)

our stocking, and yes that is a Benny Bear in mine!! That is a bear from Ben Bridge Jewelry who has a pocket on his tummy for your gift

"oh, oh let me help!"

"ohhhhh, that looks cool mom!"

"hello, who's there?" oh my she already has her own phone, but she still wants mine more...go figure!"

mmmmm, books taste good!

"hahaha I racked up!!!" my child is way spoiled already!! I love her little grin in this pic

Carl got his awesome new headlamp...he says you can never have enough flashlights!

the gift in my benny bear, it is a baby bootie made of white gold with diamonds and pink sapphires. It is beautiful!

After we did our Christmas we went to Mom and Dad's for lots more gifts, lunch, and some relaxing.

"would you people get done already?" this block doesn't taste as good as the food you get to eat!

her toy from Grammy and Pawpaw she was really into watching the animals go down and make noise.
For her big gift from mom and dad they got her her big girl carseat. She still has to face backward until a year but this one is a convertible. It is a little tall and hard to fit in the backseat turned around so we may get another or just keep this one and wait to use it until she is a year old.

hmmm this is different?

I think she likes it! Thanks Grammy and Pawpaw!!!

Snyder/Midland Family Christmas

The Friday before Christmas we all headed up to Snyder for the Scott Family Christmas. This year it was at Geoff and his new wife, Jessica's house. There were 26 people there total! Our family is just growing. This year my Granner turns 80 and for her birthday we all wanted to get together and have a big family picture taken, that poor photographer. It was definitely a challenge trying to get 2 babies and a toddler to all pay attention at the same time, but I think it turned out good! I didn't get too many pictures sorry but here are a few.

Jessica, the twins, Megan, Caleb, Carl, and Dad opening gifts
Miller checking out his doodle pad
Presley opening her new gift

Carl, Granner, and Presley the day we left...the snow was right behind us, too bad we missed it!!
On a sad note, Carl's Grandmother passed away in Midland on Sunday. He drove up early Thursday to see her and be with his mom. Presley and I drove up separately and met in Snyder. We attended her funeral on Wednesday before heading home. She was such a lovely lady and will be missed. However, due to the untimely event, it allowed us to see part of Carl's family that we were not going to get to see, his mom, Brother Eric, Minori, and their 3 girls. It was nice to see them and visit and allow all our girls to meet and play together! We also got to see his Uncle Randy who is recovering very nicely from his recent battle with cancer and Ashley who is about to have her baby boy fintan in just a few days!!

Kira and Presley

Miss Kana who never wants her picture taken

Afflack!!!

I was so nice to be able to stay a few extra days in Snyder and visit with my Granner after the "big" family Christmas get together. She really enjoys spending time with Presley and we really enjoy spending quality time with her. It is nice to just relax! While there we took a walk down to the town park, it is just a few blocks from the house. My cousin Abby and I use to go down there every year and feed the ducks. Well they are not ducks anymore they are HUGE LOUD geese! They reminded me of that Afflack duck on the commercial. We braved the cold wind, check out P's super cute doggie hat, (makes me laugh everytime) and headed down to the park. I got the cutest video...Presley's face is priceless!!

haha these things are funny!

"whoa that one's getting a little close mom!"

Molly and Me

Now that Presley is loving being on the floor and is rolling and almost crawling all over the place, Molly is of course wanting to be right in the middle of it all. She is soooo good with Presley and I think they are becoming quick friends! haha here are some pics

"I love my Molly kisses!"
"look I can do that too!"

"here can you roll like me??"

"good girl Molly!"

"Hey, did you just take my toy!?"...."who me??"

Happy Birthday Molly

Today is Molly's first birthday. It doesn't seem like we have had her almost a year! My how she has grown! I look back and remember how little she was (smaller than Toby) and now how big she is...like 70lbs! I know I will be, ok already am, thinking the same thing about my child. Anyways, we decided to celebrate her birthday with a family party and a special treat, cake! I know, I know, some of you may think we are crazy, but for you dog lovers out there, you understand...she is part of the family.

her first day home (2 months I think)

Her birthday cake! I was proud of myself it turned out really good. I found the recipe online, peanut butter, carrots, honey, flour, etc..smelled pretty good and cream cheese icing!

I even made her a little hat with dog stamps! haha

tasting her cake...yum! she didn't know what to think she ate the whole time with her tail between her legs like she was waiting to get in trouble! She knew she couldn't have gotten something this good without getting yelled at! lol

our party, Presley likes the party blowers

our other party guest...her favorite friend Josh

Party Time

This weekend was a very busy one, filled with lots of parties! Presley had two, yes two babysitters this week. Tuesday we got tickets to the Sound of Music and went with my parents. It was really good considering I had never even seen the movie! I know, I know...anyway, Lindsay came over and watched her. So I guess it was her first official babysitter that wasn't family or Mitzi. Felt weird being the one coming home to the babysitter and not the babysitter anymore :) Friday night we had our school staff party at Kay's. Last night we had Christmas dinner at the church and we brought P to the babysitter this time. Little Lindsay, I say that only because I use to be her babysitter!! They had fun playing in the nursery. Today we had the Children's Christmas party complete with a hayride, crafts, and Santa! Here are some pics.
my happy girl in her cute Christmas dress
Sittin in Santa's lap...she did great as usual, no crying just smiles and some of Santa's beard to take with her!

Family hayride pic...well sort of hard to get all of us looking at once with so much going on!

Daddy and Presely

The Hamilton's, it was suppose to be 72 degrees but ended up being cold and windy so we bundled bug up with Rachel's jacket.

Brian has this thing about germs and even more baby spit! Presley is "sliming him!" oh he is just a big baby!! It is Precious Presley spit, I told him it was pure! haha

In other news, speaking of spit, my girl is in full teething mode and I think tonight they were really bothering her because she was really fussy and doing the pitiful cry, which she never does, so it must really hurt. She is not a fan of either Tylenol or orajel. She is spitting mad...literally, when I put it on her gums and makes the most horrible face. Personally it makes me roll with laughter! But tonight Carl was teaching her how to bite down on her vibrating berry teether, I think she would rather just have us hold it and push down then do it her self.

just another random pic I thought was cute, ok when is she not cute! :) but she has officially discovered she has feet and that they can go in her mouth! Especially during bath time and when she is wearing booties or socks with animals or faces on them. Forget bath toys she just needs feet! haha

Baby it's cold outside

So I know I have been a bad blogger...but I have an excuse, for those that don't know, I am officially a working mother! I have been back a school for three weeks. I went back two weeks before Thanksgiving, and those weeks came with a lot of stress, so interesting incidents, and sickness...including one really nasty case of pink eye! It was something new everyday and became almost comical! Last week was much better, so only two more weeks until Christmas break! I have to admit working and being a mom is SUPER exhausting and I have absolutely no time for anything, which is good for my pocket book! Presley is loving Mitzi's and is having so much fun playing (or watching) Grace everyday. We are so happy to have Mitzi and love that Presley is happy there. I don't have a hard time leaving her, it is wishing that I was having fun with them that is the hard part. A few notes on Presley, she is rolling all over the place and starting to inch around like she is trying to start crawling, it won't be long! We have also officially entered teething! She is gnawing on everything and hates the orajel and Tylenol, but it helps. She is also waking up more at night, not sure if that is due to teeth, but is making me very tired! We are gearing up for Christmas and all the craziness that is going on. I will try to keep up with this more...I think I am officially caught up so make sure you check out the other 4 blogs below. It has been really cold...so I am so glad we could put on our cold gear and our super cute boots! Here is my styling girl! she reminds me of those girls from the Gap commercial, tooo cute!!

wearing her personalized hat that Lindsay made her, she loves it! thanks Lindsay

once again it has snowed here. My kids at school went crazy!! We got nothing done Friday and we did get to go play in it. I got some pictures and was hoping it would still be snowing when I got P so I could get a pic of her in it, but nope! it stopped :( oh well maybe another year...
