Happy Halloween!!

Tonight was Presley's first Halloween and we went to the church for the carnival and trunk or treat. We had a good time, but it got really cold when the sun went down! I had so many good ideas for theme costumes for all of us this year, but I will have to save them for another year. I am glad I went simple (and cheap!) this year because my little sweet pea wanted nothing to do with her costume after about 5 min! She did so well in it before at the Friendswood Halloween in the Park and around the house, but I guess she just had enough. I was glad I snapped some pictures before she started crying! I can't wait for next year, my ideas are even cuter and involve my husband in tights!! :) hehe mama pea, baby pea, and daddy pea
trying to put it back on...you can't see her face, but she is holding her head back looking at that thing like NO WAY!!

"mom I'm staying with Grammy, she won't make me wear that silly thing!" glad I decided to dye her onesie with our shirts just in case she took off the costume.

with Grammy and Pawpaw...I mean Paul Bunyon and Babe the Blue Ox! (cute idea, they really made people think about what they were)

trunk or treating. I had to put the costume on just over her legs because it was so cold. I think she just didn't like it going over her head

our car, do you think the pink bouncer sticks out a little?

I was waiting for him to jumo up and scare people at any minute

Cindy and Bill (aka Nathan)

Greeeeease Lighting! so funny!! It took me about 10 minutes to figure out that that was John. the dark hair really threw me!
We had a great time, next year will be even more fun chasing Presley around. Hope you all had a great halloween

"I don't know about this!"

We went to the pediatrician on Monday for Presley's 4 month check up a couple of weeks early. Evverything looked good and of course she got 3 more shots, but took them like a champ. I just hate it when she cries like that, it is just so sad, tears and everything :( He was a little concerned about her weight. He said for her height she should weigh more, but when he checked the curve on her growth chart he said she was fine. I was glad to hear that because I did not want to put her on supplemental formula. She is still eating every 3 hrs. and only taking 4 oz. which he wants to try and increase, but she is pretty stubborn. He thought that was why she couldn't make it through the night. He said maybe my milk was like skim milk...well at least something on me is skim! haha and that she was just a little bean pole, hmmm have you met her dad? Let's hope she has his jeans as far as body types go, tall, thin, and long legs...mix that with the blue eyes and we are IN TROUBLE!! He also said that the spot on her head and back are hemangeomas (??) and that they should go away with age. The one on her head looks like a sore, so I hope it goes fast.

Here are her stats:

height 25 in. 89 %

weight 12 lbs. 6.5oz 38%

head circumference 15 3/4 in. 36%

Since he is not exactly happy with her weight he wants her exclusively breastfed till at least 6 months, but did say we could give her just a little bit of cereal at night to help her sleep longer. So, we tried it tonight and got some video. I feel like bad parents, we find our child so comical and laugh at her too much, but she is just so cute and funny that I can't help it!

Haloween in the park

Tonight was Friendswood's Halloween in the Park and since I now have kids we get to do kid things...well somewhat. She was a little young, it was more trick or treating, but just getting to experience her first Halloween and that super cute costume was worth it! Everyone just loved her little pea outfit!! Next year we are going to be chasing her around which should prove to be even more fun!! awww family photo...we never get these
One more with Granner, I think she wore green on purpose :)
throwing bean bags in the pumpkin face, well sort of

I know I'm a terrible mom, the things we do for cuteness!! haha this just kept getting in her face. she would sit in our arms sucking on the top pea. she is going to hate me for this one day!

Grammy and Pawpaw with their sweet pea!
We have our church festival and trunk or treat this Saturday, so like any good mom I'm sure I will have pictures of that too! also scroll down I have been catching up on blogs so there are more below!

like mother's like daughter's

It is so interesting to see how our whole families dynamics have changed in just a few years. My cousin and I now have kids of our own (young kids) which makes our get togethers so much more lively and entertaining. But, I can't help but think how Abby and I use to love when we all got together and we would lock ourselves in the sewing room and play till we dropped! We had so much fun together and she was just a little bit older then me and just a little bit bossier :) she always knew how to do it and took charge. I loved those times and now I look at her little Morgan and see her and know that I will be looking at Presley soon and see a mirror image of myself and both our moms will sit back and just chuckle to themselves and Abby and I will be in BIG trouble!! This weekend we all got together at my parents since my Granner was in town and here a some pictures.

Abby and I
Us and our kiddos...it's hard getting everyone to pay attention let alone look at one camera! haha

Morgan saying "cheese!"

the weather was absolutely beautiful so we spent alot of time out on the patio

my Granner and all her great grandkids...again with the camera! It looks like P is much more interested in her toy!

loves being in Pawpaw's arms!

sorry it's flipped...Morgan thought Presley's swing was just right for her baby

give Miller a cup and a block and he's in business!

My other cousin Adam and his wife Courtney

exersaucing

After going to my cousins this last week and trying Presley out in her son's exersaucer we decided it was time we put hers together. She loves it!!! She is starting to get the hang of it, and gets so excited at the little things on it, especially anything orange and red! The video is a little long but cute of her playing...I've been trying out my new flip video camera :)

Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere

Well, I have lots to blog about since my Granner has been here all week...so there will be more to come soon! We went to the MOM's club halloween party at the pumpkin patch today and we dressed our little pumpkin up in her cutest baby's first halloween clothes and took tons of pics in the pumpkins. She even got her own baby one :) She is just facinated by the colors red, yellow, and orange (her daddy will be proud of the orange, hehe) I have enjoyed so much having my Granner here this week and getting to share in some special times with her. I think she has loved meeting and getting to spend time with her 3rd great grandchild.

the three of us
toooo cute!!!

I love her smile!!

she was so fascinated with her feet that I could barely get her to look up at the camera...well they do have silly little pumpkin faces on them!

not sure about this face, but she is almost able to sit up on her own (hence Granner's hand in the pic)

me and my happy, beautiful, precious pumpkin!

her and Granner...now eating the hat she was wearing earlier.

"oooooh...what's that??"
"hey wait, let me have that back!"

"mmmm, just like I thought, yummy!!"
We have a very busy and fun weekend planned before Granner goes back. Tomorrow we are having my aunt and uncle and cousins come over to cook out and visit, we are going to try to go see the hot air balloons at nasa tomorrow evening, and then Sunday we are going to dress her up in her costume and head to the Friendswood Halloween in the Park...so I am sure there will be lots of pics to come.

new faces and new friends

Thursday my grandmother came into town to visit her new great grandaughter. So we have four generations together! I had to take a picture of course. She will be here all week and next weekend so I am looking forward to our visit and time with family. It was also my Dad's birthday this weekend so Jeremy also came into town and we celebrated today. Here are some pics from our weekend. One quick note, I put some of these in here just because lately I have been catching the cutest expressions from Presley...she is proving to be quite a ham with a slight attitude! :)

(great) Granner, me, Grammy, and bug
we felt a cookie cake was most appropriate! yummmm!!

"hmmm, whose this crazy guy...I'm not so sure about him??"
1st time really meeting uncle Jeremy, well at least the first time he would hold her!

"okay, that's better, he's not so bad afterall!"

she looks a little chunky here! too cute. This is how we see her most of the time, either blowing bubbles or drooling everywhere!! It's like a mini faucet!
These are just some randoms that I thought were cute!

getting ready for bed with daddy!

"really your gonna leave me with this guy!" haha just kidding
cuddling with daddy in the morning. He was a little sleepy, he had been up late helping with the lockin at church.

Today I was feeding P in the cry room during church and Courtney brought Evie in, she is 5 weeks older than bug, and has way more hair (for those of you who thing Presley has a lot!) But as we walked out at the end of church the girls suddenly noticed each other and their eyes got big and they were suddenly very curious about the little person across from them. They were smiling and even reaching out to each other. Later, I caught both Grandpa's holding them and they were just staring at each other again and I had to snap a picture. Too cute! new friends!

"Oh you like my dress, thanks! I like yours too, where have you been shopping??"

holding hands!! soon they will be chatting each other up :)
I'll post more later after our week with Granner

out and about with mom's club

Since I only have a few more weeks before I have to go back to work I have been trying to take full advantage of all the mom's club activities. Plus it also helps that P is so much more alert and starting to interact with others. We went to story time at Aimee's this week and read "Where the Wild Things Are" and made crowns. So of course Presley made a Princess Presley crown...well with a little help :)
she looks so cute sitting at the table with the big kids
Aimee, Mitzi, and Kristen helping the kiddos

Presley admiring her work!

"really, mom??"

"you don't have to tell me twice whose Queen around here!"

Last Friday a cold front was headed our way and we were scheduled to have a park day...Aimee and I decided we would try it out at least for a little while. It was a bit windy, hence the crazy hair and squinty eyes, but we had fun. Here are a few pics. Grant eating a cupcake, after his first bite he had the funniest "frosting" mustache

Aimee and Grant sliding

me and Presley riding the bouncy tiger

me and my girl, I never get pictures of the two of us :)

Thursday my Grandmother comes into town for a week to finally meet Ms. P! I can't wait, we are going to have a lot of fun, and plenty to blog about for sure.
