We went to the Pediatrician and he gave the go ahead to finally start giving her some solids, but told us very sternly not to nurse her less because she really needs her calories. She is now 14.9 lbs (32 percentile) and 27 in long (79 percentile-it dropped a little) he suggested mixing cereal with juice but she didn't really like that, but I changed brands and we are mixing it with bananas and peaches so far. She really loves the bananas!! She is starting to get the hang of it and really opening her mouth, but is already very admit about trying to do it herself! so I have to be quick. We found out that the bumbo is getting to small, she tries to get out so we also started putting her in her big high chair. It is still a little small but she likes it.
Is this really suppose to be up my nose mom?
at church she is now out of the bumbo and is much more content in the big chairs. This is her and Evie graduating to the real chairs! ahhh feels like I just took her in there and she could barely sit in the bumbo!!
"watch mom, I can read too!! "
Mmmmm good!
I found these rice cake snacks called mum mum and they dissolve quickly and don't make much of a mess. I give them to her to occupy my very busy little girl and it gives us a chance to eat. she does not like us to eat in front of her. She watches us and gets mad because she can't do it to!
her big high chair!
we have caught her doing this a couple of times. She will be playing and then suddenly roll over and start watching tv. what is really funny is when she puts her feet up on the tv stand, she looks like she is just chilling out watching a movie!
The doctor said she looks good and is right on track. He wants us to try and up her milk intake and supplement with formula when needed. He commented on her high activity level again and said that could be why she is not weighing very much or eating every 2-3 hrs. He also said that might be why she is still not sleeping through the night (not enough volume intake). He said that as far as personality and activity she is at about a 9 month schedule! she is really wanting to move and be active which is getting increasing harder on us, especially when we are out and about. She has a way of throwing a tantrum when she doesn't get what she wants...can you say terrible 2's a year and a half early! haha I just can't believe how fast she is doing and how much she is suddenly able to do at once. Mom wanted to try and give her a sippy cup and I said not yet, too many things at once...I have to take this growing up thing a little slow! :)
here are a couple of pics of the UT/Bama game the other night...we were all decked out in our gear and had fun at Kay's
